NARASIMHACHARI 



      Narasimhachari  whose performing career began at the age of five under the guidance of his father, comes from a family of artistes.  He has been trained in vocal music, mridangam, bharathanatyam and kuchipudi by illustrious masters.  

      He graduated from  Kalakshetra, the internationally  renowned centre for fine arts in Madras  and also holds the ‘Sangeetha siromani’ title of  the Madras University.  

      Narasimhachari is an artiste blessed with multifaceted talent, known as much for his musicianship as for his dancing.  He is a rare combination of a composer, choreographer, singer, dancer, nattuvanar ( conductor of a dance programme ), and a mridangam player.  

      Teaching and performing for more than three decades, Narasimhachari has to his credit as many as 21dance-dramas on  varied themes.  

      He has travelled extensively in India and abroad giving lecture demonstrations, workshops, performances on stage, television and radio, propogating Indian art and culture.

        The song you have just heard is a composition of Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar. Lord Ganesha the remover of obstacles is invoked by the devotee in this song. Muthiah Bhagavathar’s compositions are full of lyrical beauty and rhythmic vibrancy and are widely used both by musicians and dancers.  

        Sudhamayi, Himagiri tanaye, Maathe malayadhwaja  Pandya Sanjaathe are some of his well known compositins.
